LANE COVE NATIONAL PARK

Public BBQ

This BBQ spot is located conveniently close to a train station and shopping centres, making it easily accessible. Its amenities, including the BBQs, toilets, and showers, are well-maintained. A handy shop at reception provides essentials like milk. The site is adjacent to a creek, adding a fun element of exploration for the kids. Local wildlife, such as kookaburras, scrub turkeys, and parrots, can be seen up close, much to the delight of children. The area is expansive enough for various activities like picnicking, hiking, walking, and even boat rentals for river tours. The park does get a bit noisy, with sound from other patrons and overhead planes, but it quietens down around 11 pm. Some visitors have noted the challenge of finding water near the BBQ area. However, overall, the spot provides a delightful experience, especially for family and friend gatherings.
